We seek to follow Jesus through Worship, Formation, and Mission:

Worship

Worship at Redeemer is Christ-centric. We gather together to encounter and respond to the grace of Jesus, because we believe that more than anything else, we need the presence of our Redeemer. Every movement of our service points to Christ, and at the center of it all are the Word and Sacrament. We hear the Word proclaimed as it is read and explained, and we see and taste the Word as we encounter Christ at his Table. When you come to Redeemer, you will encounter Jesus. It cannot be helped!

Formation

At Redeemer we believe that the death and resurrection of Jesus changes everything about how we live. As a result, we need to learn new habits, rhythms, and patterns of life by allowing Jesus to remake and reorient our lives. We immerse ourselves in the story of the gospel in order to internalize the incredible truth that Jesus is making all things new, ourselves included!

Mission

We believe that a life grounded in the gospel leads to a life directed by the gospel - meaning a life of devotion to Christ leads to a life of mission in the world. Our church does not want to be a “holy huddle” who only ask how Jesus meets our individual needs. Rather, we are a people who are compelled to share the good news because it is worth sharing! So we seek to participate with Jesus as he is renewing our neighborhoods, workplaces, and cities for the glory of God.

What is the Anglican Tradition?

Anglican Tradition is grounded in formation through God’s word:

We believe that the practices of the church ought to be grounded in the teachings of God’s Word. While we do not claim to have the definitive form of worship, we do believe that there are specific practices found throughout Scripture that help us immerse ourselves in the gospel story and better form us in the way of Jesus. Some of these include: Prayer for God to prepare our hearts to encounter him, the reading of Scripture, public prayer and confession, the celebration of the Lord’s Supper, and the commissioning of the people for the work of Christ in the world.

The Anglican Tradition is grounded in the wisdom of the church:

We are not alone in our journey of faith. We believe that the saints who have come before us have many things to teach us about following Jesus, so we look to the past to more fully engage our present. There are three primary historical sources that ground our worship.

The Anglican Tradition is grounded in the global church:

The Anglican Church is truly a Global Church. With more than 80 million Anglicans worshipping around the world, when you proclaim the liturgy at Redeemer, you are joining with 80 million of your brothers and sisters around the world. Not only this, but the Anglican Tradition is truly a cross-cultural movement. The vast majority of Anglicans around the world are centered in communities in the Southern Hemisphere. Your prayers are being joined with Anglicans from every tribe and tongue and nation.

Redeemer is a part of the Anglican Church in North America, a movement that unites over 125,000 believers in North America. We are members of the Anglican Diocese of the South and serve under the authority of Bishops Foley Beach and Frank Lyons.

The leadership of Redeemer exists to equip and send out men and women to continue the work of Christ in making all things new.

Rev. Collin Ross

Lead Pastor

Hey, I'm Collin Ross, and I came on board at Redeemer in November, 2017. Raised in the Baptist church, I have served and led in churches across the denomination spectrum before finding my "tribe" in the Anglian church. I love how our worship rehearses the gospel each and every week as we gather to praise the Lord, encounter him in his Word and at his table, and then are sent out to be the church in the world.

My wife, Melanie, and I are both graduates of the University of Georgia and Denver Seminary. I love board/card games, long hikes, and a black-and-blue burger with a side of sweet potato fries. More than anything I long to see lives and communities transformed by the gospel of Jesus and the movement of the Spirit.
